Restaurants

The table you want, booked by phone.

Plenty of good restaurants still take bookings the old way: you ring, someone picks up, and they write your name in the book. Juno makes that call for you.

  • Finds the places for you
  • Always says it's an AI
  • Free to start
Things you can ask
  • Book a table for two tomorrow at 8
  • Somewhere for six on Saturday, around 7, not too loud
  • A table for our anniversary on Friday night
  • Lunch for three today at 1
What Juno asks you
  • Roughly when? A range works better than an exact time, so Juno can take whatever they have.
  • How many people?
  • Anything they should know? A birthday, a high chair, a quiet corner. Juno passes it on.
  • Which two places should it try first?

How it goes

Three taps from you. One call from Juno.

  1. 01

    Say what you want

Type it or say it. Juno asks a detail or two and finds places near you that fit.

  2. 02

    Pick your two

Juno finds the restaurants near you that fit, ranks them, and shows you a shortlist. No searching. Choose up to two, in the order you want them tried.

  3. 03

    Juno calls and books

It phones the first, asks for your table, gives your name, and moves to the second if they are full. Then you get the confirmation: where, when, how many, under what name.

Juno handles

The awkward bits, handled.

They are full

Juno thanks them and tries your second pick. If both are full it tells you and asks which to try next.

They are closed right now

Juno waits and calls when they open, then updates you.

They are in the middle of a rush

If the host asks for a call back, Juno calls back when they said it would.

Plans change

Juno phones the restaurant and releases the table, so nobody holds a spot for a guest who is not coming.

Questions

Before your first call.

Can Juno book somewhere that does not take online reservations?

Yes. That is the point. Juno phones the restaurant the way you would, so it works with any place that answers its phone.

What if the restaurant is full?

Juno tries your second pick. If both are full, it tells you and you can choose more places to try.

How do I know the table is really booked?

You get a confirmation with the restaurant, the time, the number of guests and the name it is under. If Juno is not certain the booking went through, it says so instead of confirming.

Does the restaurant know it is talking to an AI?

Yes. Juno introduces itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf at the start of every call, and confirms it if anyone asks.

Can Juno cancel a table?

Yes. Ask, and Juno phones the restaurant to cancel, then confirms it is done.

Never make that call again.
